My new ebook on the memorized deck, The Road to Riffsville, will be available within a day or so. Here's a blog post filling you in on why I wrote it and what it contains.

I had a chance to read an early draft of Michael Close's new book and it is phenomenal. It is an excellent case of someone looking at his own work unemotionally, seeing a weakness in it, and ruthlessly ferreting it out. If you have some experience with a memdeck, Close's ideas will take your work to another level (I do echo the note in the advertising copy that it isn't aimed at beginner's to this kind of work).

Steve Bedwell has this to say about The Road to Riffsville: "Can't put The Road to Riffsville down and focus on anything else. (Especially frustrating because I'm at MAGIC Live!) Fascinating analysis of some of the issues I've personally experienced with the estimation aspects of memdeck work, with robust solutions. An outstanding contribution!"
