New Magicol at the Printers

Postby Dustin Stinett » September 26th, 2013, 2:17 am

News at hand from the MCA and Magicana. Issue #185 of my second favorite magic magazine, MAGICOL, is at the printers and should be in members mail boxes soon. Yes, it is very late, but in case you don't know, during the year, David Ben faced the illness and then the tragic loss of his wife, Jan Howlett, so his priorities have been focused on his family.

The issue will be worth the wait, and not just because I share a short history of the Magic Castle in its pages. Mike Caveney writes about the Castle’s collection of posters, Bill Goodwin on the William Larsen, Jr. Library, and my pal Lisa Cousins picked out some of the Castle’s more unusual artifacts to discuss. Several folks then close the Castle section with words about Dai Vernon.

Besides all the Magic Castle stuff, Andrew Pinard covers Yankee Gathering XIV and there are a bunch of book reviews. Keep an eye open for it!
