* 1883 - Charles Bertram appeared at the Royal Acquarium (London).
* 1909 - Jack Trepel was elected to membership in the Society of American Magicians.
* 1973 - Max Terhune, actor, ventriloquist, magician and juggler, passes away.
* 2004 - Auction of The collection of Christian Fechner begins at Drouot (Paris).
* 2008 - "Ricky Jay & His 52 Assistants show sets a box office record when it sold $62,468 worth of tickets in a single day.
