Electronic Paper inches closer

Postby Pete McCabe » July 15th, 2005, 1:05 am

To those of us keeping an eye on e-book technology:

An article at overclockers club notes that Fujitsu has a working prototype of bendable color epaper that requires no electricity to display an image -- only to change the image. It's not quite ready for real use yet, but it's just a matter of time, and that time is a little bit closer.

Pete, thanks for the news. Philips has developed a screen, based on e-inks technology, that rolls itself up, but it is only 4 level greyscale.
The Fujitsu one is color which seems to be the improvement over e-ink.

I am quite sure that in one or two years we will see the first flexible screen phones/PDAs on the market.
