Forcing numbers

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

Forcing numbers

I have a gambling routine worked out with 6 cards. I need to be able to force number 5 convincingly. I have thought about using loaded dice or just a simple magicians force. Are there any books dedicated to forcing numbers.
Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

202 Methods of Forcing by Annemann has many number forcing methods. You might find something useful in there. For $2 you can download it from my site as an ebook.

Banachek's Psychological Subtleties has a whole chapter on this, plus many other useful forcing techniques. Check it out.
