I think the Bloom book is to be a short book on inventing magic and a longer book on his magic... You wait ages for a Bloom book and then two come at once...

It is good to see so many books in the pipeline... Here are some more to add...

The Miracle Factory are working on a book (written by Mark Setteducati) about Lubor Fiedler.

There is a book in the works from Piet Forton. Richard Kaufman mentioned it HERE a few years ago. (scroll down about half the page). It sounds very unusual. Here is what Richard has to say: "I don't believe it's possible to do what he is trying to do, but if he pulls it off it would be one of the greatest books on magic ever published." :eek:

I spoke to Roy Walton a few weeks ago. He says he has enough material for a third volume of 'The Complete Walton'. I would love to see that published.

I was told that Dr Gene Matsurra is working on a book about Winston Freer. Again this should be a wonderful book.

Many (including me) would love to see 'The Nectar Of The Cards' by Jack Birnman published. I believe the manuscript is in Harry Levines hands... The matter is discussed HERE

There is a book coming out on the relationship between mathematics and card tricks. It is written by Persi Diaconis and Ron Graham. I believe it will be called 'From Maths To Magic' and it looks like fun...

I would love to see a reprint of 'Card Craft' by JK Hartman and am looking forward to his new book 'Card Dupery' (published later this month)...

I don't know if he is working on a book - but I would love to see a book by Angelo Carbone. He is a creative genius who should be preserved in a book...

One last book - 'Breaking The Circle' by Jon Racherbaumer. I have read about this book for a few years now and gather it has some sort of mythic reputation. Does anyone know if it will ever be published and why it is so famous? I would love to hear more about this book...

Dave Grippenwalt's book by Greg Wilson. It was mentionned years ago in Magic Magazine and immediately caught my attention as I really like the stuff Grippenwalt published in Richard's Almanach and Coinmagic.

The very talented Montreal magician Stphane Bourgoin is hard at work compiling a BIG book of magic from Patrik Kuffs.

And my next book of close-up magic (MORE POWER TO YOU) is currently being laid out for release in December.

I've been hearing RK's laugh-track re BREAKING THE CIRCLE ever since I told him about LETTERS TO HOFZINSER, which always made (and still makes) him guffaw louder. But both works exist in various stages...

RIFFLE SHUFFLE MASTERY will be an e-book. The rest are hard-luck hard-backers.

GRIPPO, finished? Maybe by Christmas.
But I still say that most books are never finished. They are simply abandoned and then published in the state they are when thewriter pulls the plug. Consider the Jennings' book...It just keeps on growing...a phenomenon I fully understand...

Mike Rogers' book may finally see print. I found more stuff to add.

PROSPERO is mentioned in Sticks & Stones and in Roger's Thesaurus. It is somewhat mystical in parts...Castaneda on cards...When the next paradigm shift occurs, this book will be ready to materialize.

LETTERS TO HOFZINSER is an epistolary book, more novelistic than magical...its model is the Screwtape Letters.

I fear to say anything more about BREAKING THE CIRCLE in deference to RK's unlimited capacity for laughter.

Hey, Mr. Current Events: Jon has been adding eBooks to his site for several years. Currently he has 16 eBooks and 12 manuscripts available on his site (no charge for Premium Members). The 21-Card Trick is a fantastic new work, and he has also made available the complete Kabbala and the Hierophant. Other eBook titles include Universal Card, Arch Triumphs, and Good Turns (JRs great book on the Twisting plot which contains the version Ive been doing for many years).

Does anyone know status of Mary Tomich's completed bizarrist magazine, The Altar Flame? I recall an expressed intention to publish the full run as a bound volume. Is this still a viable prospect?

During my time down here in Guatemala, I have written a book. It is almost done. This is the book that magicians have been asking me to write for almost twenty years. It will be a real book (not an e-book). 200+ pages; 65K+ words.

A few members of this board have seen the book in its early versions. If they would like to make general comments, that would great, but please don't reveal the subject matter.

FROM METAIRIE, LA. Jon Racherbaumer answers my note as to the fate of KABBALA and HIEROPHANT with the good news that he does plan to continue publishing these excellent papers. He has been busy with other projects including a major manuscript (The Shank Shuffle) and a major book called "Breaking The Circle". Jon says: "...as you know, these one-man enterprises take precious time." I know Jon...I know!

In other news, I have a book on Nate Leipzig in the works. Some of the folks here have seen bits and pieces of the research, and writing has started. There's no definite time line at the moment, though hopefully not on the order of "Breaking the Circle".

My book: 'Legend: An anecdotal tribute to Ken Brooke' is ready for printing. A special pre-release copy will be available to contributors to the book shortly. The cover (by Ken's good friend, Ken Perks) is holding things up a little as it needs 'tweaking' here and there, however, Ken as usual has done a lovely job. I'll keep
those folks who are interested, regularly updated
on this site. Many thanks again to those kind
enough to have offered their help, support and encouragement towards this project. I'm sure Ken would have touched by your many kind thoughts and
