Three-Fly hint

Postby Steve Bryant » October 16th, 2003, 1:35 pm

For what it is worth ...

I've been working on a Halloween illusion that requires me to wear latex surgical gloves. I wondered how they would help or hinder sleight of hand, so picked up my Kohler/Lassen 3-Fly set. The trick is MUCH easier wearing these things because of their tackiness. Up to you to come up with a premise.

They belonged to a drug dealer and are tainted?

Filthy lucre? (SP?)

Got these in change at the PX at a Leper Colony?

- They're evidence.

- You have a psychological problem with touching money. (Seems odd, but one of Tommy Wonder's effects revolves around how he's obsessive-compulsive. It's his version of Wild Card.)

- "You don't know where it's been." (I leave the rest to your imagination.)

- You have the gloves on for another reason, but "notice" the coins and show what they can do for a moment, never bothering to take off your gloves.

They are rare coins that must never be touched by human hands.

Before you give the assisting spectator a prostate exam, you warm up your fingers with a little sleight of hand.

Two words: Safe Magic.

You're planning to murder someone with these coins later and you don't want any fingerprints.

You have the midas touch and if you touch the coins they will turn to gold. Finish by removing one glove and doing spellbound.
