Postby Philippe Noël » October 6th, 2002, 9:25 am

What are in your opinion the best close-up performances on video?

I personally like the performances of:
- Eugene Burger in Gourmet Close-up Magic
- Bill Malone in The greater magic video library
- Michael Ammar in The greater magic video library
- Daryl in The Greater Magic Video Library
- Carl Cloutier in Lapping it up
- Derek Dingle in The Paris Super Session
- Michael Skinner in The Legendary Repertoire

What are YOUR personal favourites?

Personal favs, in no particular order:

Tom Mullica - Stevens Greater Magic Series
Johnny Paul - " " " "
Juan Tamariz - " " " "
Don Alan - " " " "
Roger Klause - In Concert - A-1 Magical Media
Gerry Griffen - California Magic Teaching Series
J.C. Wagner - Commercial Magic - A-1 Magical Media
Bill Malone - L&L and Stevens Series
Mike Rogers - Stevens Greater Magic Series
Patrick Page - Three Shell Game video (the female spectator with the retro punk haircut is worth the price of admission)

I think I watch too much TV...

I like the David Williamson videos, too. I also like all of the Gary Kurtz videos, as well as Aldo Columbini's Lasting Impression series.

I'm not that keen on the teaching aspect of this tape but the performaces by Carl Cloutier in Expert Topiting is amazing...

I really enjoyed Eugene Burger in his Voyages to the Real World DVD. I just love watching him perform in a bar situation.

I liked the David Regal 3 set DVD from L&L. I have literally everthing out there and this set is "head and shoulders" above anything else.

My choice would be the Doc Eason tapes.

The tape from John George is really great. I ordered this tape to see something about his classic force and was really surprised. Everything is great on this tape real practical and his routines to learn the classic force are fantastic. I wish he would share more ideas.

Tho I do not have a large collection of videos.
The best ones I have seen so far. are all of the Skinner Videos, and The Bill Malone Videos. So far all the others I have seen in no way compare.
