I just recently joined jr.com as a premium member. Wow, I can not believe what you get for a mere $50.00. This site allows you to access all of the archives since the inception. They are all in a printable format. I have just finished printing the material to read and I have TWO 4 inch binders FULL. I've got more reading on card magic to do than I'll have time for in the next year.

If you haven't subscribed and you love card magic, you are definately missing out. On top of that, each month they list a new item. You should go check it out, it's WELL worth the price of admission! :)

I've been a premium member since day one, and I just renewed my membership. Jon does a fantastic job putting out serious material for the intelligent student of card magic. I find his site one of two vital on-line magic subscription sites for me, the other being The Second Deal. Cogitations is still too new for me to class it with these other two sites -- but I'm hopeful.

Matt's point is well-taken. Cogitations has not
had the time to prove consistency or longevity.

However, I think even Matt will admit that so
far, it HAS proven Value!

Cogitations has been online for a little more
than 6 weeks. So far we've posted the following content:

A devastating routine from Andi Gladwin
Punken Droker, the best poker deal in the world from Paul Cummins
Two Sleight finesses from Andrew Wimhurst
A tutorial on the Multiple Shift from Steven Youell
Force of Habit, an original routine using the Pass.
My full set of lecture notes that sell for $30.00.

Here's just three of the items we have on tap:

Ron Bauer's Two Card Turnover Technique and Riffle Action Palm
An exclusive series of essays from Darwin Ortiz
A killer shuffle and cut sequence from Andrew Wimhurst

I find it hard to believe that anyone could say Cogitations
isn't the best $20.00 they've ever spent on Card Magic!

Which reminds me. Steven had me put up two effects and a demo video today. A fun version of "Open Travellers" from Mike Powers with (for the sake of completeness) his "Blowing Away the Aces" a variation of a Latta variation of a Swain effect. :)

A Swain effect? That's a new one on me. Can you give me the dates?

Ah, I thought this was in reference to a different trick. Of course "Passing along the Vanishing Aces" is Swain's plot. Thanks.

Best,

After reading all the positive feedback I decided to register as a premium member. It appears that some of the material I'm looking for (mainly from Ed Marlo) is on Mr Racherbaumer's website. I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed.

My only problem is that my account hasn't been activated yet even though I submitted my payment over 5 days ago (using Paypal). The webmaster hasn't reply to my email. Since Jon Racherbaumer has been on the forum today I'm hoping he'll notice this message and get back to me.

Thanks,

Mathieu

Fun and inspiring discussions and brain-storming sessions with some of the best and brightest card-slingers on the planet; and an archive of moves, effects and videos that will keep you busy for the rest of your life!!

A bit humorless at times, though. If you want a site with more banter, check out Conjure Nation.

Shameful plugs for TSD and Conjure Nation. I'm active on the former and a lurker on the latter and can tell you that you will be hard pressed to find sites that will give you so much for so little.

Besides, the TSD convention was 3 of the best days of my life.
