I am currently playing with Jay Sankey's Haunted Card Case. A card travels cleaning to an empty case and the name of the card is mysteriously written on the inside of the case!

Kenton Knepper published an obvious solution over at the Online Visions board taken from his new "Miracles of Suggestion" booklet.

While the bare bones of the methodology might fall short in the eyes of the card technician, it would play very well in the real world.

As with most of his work, what makes it special is his attention to subtle detail and wording. Worth a look.

One of my favorite versions of the Card to Cardbox would be Eddie Field's version. This simple bold method is fun to do and devastates most anyone you show it to. Definitely worth looking at!

Well, I just published a version in my second set of lecture notes. The routine is called "Just in Case," and is sort of modular. A selection is found under the box twice and then inside the box twice, each time under seemingly strict scrutiny. It plays well for me, I did it about 10 times just tonight behind the bar...

I have been performing my Card to Box for about 10 years now. The box is on the table from the beginning of the set and, in fact, I usually hand it to someone to look after. After I take the box back at the end, I reveal the card inside and the person who signed the card is the one who removes it. I don't ever touch the card. Btw, the box is 100% examinable.

It absolutely floors people and I perform it at 99% of my close-up perfromances. Handing the box out is a good way to start a set and by closing with it too, brings the set full circle, providing a natural finale.
