Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Magic-themed Episode of The Irrational

Postby John Signa » January 22nd, 2025, 7:19 pm

Aired on NBC on Tuesday, “Now You Don’t” episode of The Irrational.
Mercer investigates a murder at Washington DC’s magic club, The Trick Door. Some magicians at the club (Shawn Farquhar vanishes a cage, Collins Key called out). The Trick Door is more standard theater than Magic Castle but has Benjamin Franklin on his Glass Harmonica subbing for Irma.

Thanks John. Just watched it On Demand. Interesting magicians and the magic club were represented for the most part as they have been on TV for as long as I've been around. That's a LONG time. Although there were female magicians as headliners and club owners which was nice.

My all time favorite remains the Columbo episode with Jack Cassidy as the magician "Now You See Him". Had quite an influence on me back then and enjoy watching it again every once in a while.
