Yes...very sad news Eddy Taytelbaum passed away. I just talked to his longtime girlfriend Lucy and so this news is now confirmed. This the link to an instagram post from some time ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/BclND1elHoW ... 12kn5agram

Thanks to Mike Skinner, Eddy's three card monte routine will live forever.

Did Eddie know of Deland's engraving and printing work? How odd that Vernon and Ganson did not mention Deland, his tricks or printing the cards...or that older item where four of a kind change when you change the face card. (or the buckle count modernization of that trick). In the book Bob Farmer mentioned Ganson describes making the gaffs by hand! ??
What sort of tack did Deland use when performing the trick? Do the journals of the time mention him showing his tricks?

To be fair, it's not the "Pickitout" routine that Eddy used, it was the cards from that trick, from which he forged a much more extensive and deceptive routine.
