Next Gen Coloring Book?

I saw this today:

It is a preprinted flip book, which you color in as you wish.

But… It appears to also have coloring book technology built in, since you can flip through six different sequences—three on one side, turn it over, and three on the other side.

I almost backed this when it came out, but knew I would never use it. I would think it would be very frustrating to create my own animations without occasionally skipping a page accidentally. Heck, it would be hard enough just to make a regular one without making a mistake.

Anyone know the greatest number of changes incorporated in a blow book/coloring book device?

It gives you a six way out for mentalism, or a five way out after showing that it's blank to start.

Ricky Jay told me he had a version of the coloring book with, if I remember correctly, 8 changes. As I recall he described it as something he had done a long time ago, but that could be me misremembering. Weber would know.

I recall an Emerson and west changing book that seemed to go through at least 6 changes. I saw it demonstrated at the magic counter in Disneyland in 1986.

Flik Flik was the Emerson & West item. It was black & white printing, no color.

Yes there were many changes.

Book changes from the alphabet to flowers to sheet music to crossword puzzles to a stamp album a blank note pad.

You could do any order you wanted, but certain sequences were easier to go through.

I remember seeing Art Emerson do it at a magic convention (Bob Little's probably) and he did it beautifully. That man was an awesome demonstrator - one of the best I've ever seen.

My flip book was in the Linking Ring in a Canadian Parade sometime in the 1960s. It used a copy of FATE magazine.
