Howard Hamburg is 77 years old and he has spent several decades of those years in the Magic Castle. During those nights at the Castle, this "Knight of the Castle" built friendships and memories with some of the legendary greats of our art. Among them were Dai Vernon, Larry Jennings, Michael Skinner, Kuda Bux, Jay Ose, Tom Mullica, Francis Carlyle, Senator Crandall, and...well, the list goes on. You can pretty much name anyone from our rich heritage and Howard has a story about them which oftentimes included him in the story, too.
On this week's podcast we go back in time a little at a time. We first hear Howard talk about his recent trip abroad when he was lecturing and performing in Belgium and also attending "Escorial Convention" in Spain, hosted by Juan Tamariz. Then we go back to Howard's earlier days in New York and first meeting a young up-and-coming magician, Michael Skinner. From there we go to Hollywood and talk about many of the "Knights of the Castle" who have are no longer with us.
You can watch a video of Howard performing a card trick, read the blog, see some photos, enter the contest, listen online, and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/sco ... rd-hamburg Please subscribe to the RSS feed so you don't miss another podcast. We have a lot in store in the coming year and I already have the next two podcasts "in the can" and ready to post over the next two weeks.
This week we welcome The Great American Magic Company as our new sponsor. Each week we will feature a new contest and give away a new prize, compliments of http://www.thegreatamericanmagiccompany.com/ This week you can enter to win two free months of At The Table Lectures from Murphy's Magic Supplies. All the information for the contest is on the website at The Magic Word Podcast. Don't delay because this contest is only good for the next six days.
By the way, I hope you like the new theme music. I have finally settled on the theme that was specially written for The Magic Word Podcast. Let me know what you think. More and more people seem to be getting into the magic podcast "business" so I appreciate your dedication and commitment to this podcast and what I'm trying to do. So, thanks for listening.

Re: 335: Howard Hamburg - Voices From The Past
Howard Hamburg is so kind and so clever, i was lucky to meet him in Paris last month and he fooled me badly....by his stuff and by the way he was telling stories about the past legends....so good...i really hope some one has the project to register all his stories and stuff on videos, he really deserves it...
chacun de nous est magique, combien le realisent et combien partent trop vite...

Great episode!
Love the new theme tune as well.
Probably the oldest podcast in magic and still the best.

Thanks for the feedback, Joe. You made my day. And perhaps you like the new theme music because coincidently and confidentially...it was composed by a Brit! :

haha - that is good to hear!
My favourite episode of your podcast was with fellow GENII Forum poster - Brad Henderson.
Wow - he has some amazing stories. Putting on "once in a lifetime" wild parties for his billionaire(?) friend.
Incredible stuff.
