From the link:
"NEW LOOK, NEW OWNER, NEW ATTITUDE."
What does that mean?

I wish the new owner well and hope he is very successful---opening a B & M magic shop in this day and age (or any day and age) takes a lot of guts.

Denny is a somewhat bitter guy. If you went into his store in Baltimore (not the current one, but the one before) it was filled with guys smoking. The fact that it's a violation of the law aside, it made the place and anything you purchased in it stink. I stopped going to the store because of that--my clothes stank like hell when I got home. Maybe it was the same way in the shop in Vegas.
But Denny complains endlessly about other dealers and lots of other stuff. It gets to be a bit much after a while.

Especially in Vegas. Too many magic shops there. I couldn't believe it when I saw two competing magic shops doors away from each other. I asked the guy behind the counter about it and he just shrugged his shoulders saying, "That's Vegas!"
As an aside I found Vegas a very dull and boring place. I was bored out of my mind there.

Have you ever seen a happy magic dealer? Anyone that sells fun tends to be miserable.

Interesting. The few times I had visited the Vegas branch was usually less than a pleasurable experience. The manners were so bad that I had emailed Denny himself about it but never heard back. I don't mind swearing myself but thought it wasn't good business sense to do such a thing in front of a complete stranger. You just never know who that stranger that just walked in is or what future business he might bring.
The first time I walked into Showplace Magic (Steve Simbeck was owner at the time) in Utah back in 99 was amazing. Great manners and awesome guys behind the counter willing to do the one thing so many can't or won't...listen! The guys there really jump started my interest in magic. (Brad 'Scarnecky' Gordon, Derrick 'Stilts' Welling and Paul Vigil were just a few of the guys working behind the counter at the time.)
Never before and never since have I experienced such care given to a complete stranger interested in magic at any magic shop I have been to. (And no complaining about other shops or dealers.) Great times indeed!

Re: Denny's Magic Shop in Las Vegas Has Changed Hands
In 2013 I was in Vegas to attend Magic Live, the day after the convention ended, two friends and me tried to visit Denny's Magic, we wanted to see a B&M store different to Houdini's stores in the casinos.
We arrived and the store was closed despite the schedulle in the door said by the time it must be open, the counterman in the store in the side said normally was open. We waited some minutes, get bored and irked with the Vegas August sun and went away. Instead we ended at the casino supplier hugh store in downtown.
Maybe was just a bad day to try the store

So that's where your mind went.

There is an old saying "choose your battles wisely". You aren't quite as good as me at this you know.
In any event since my original retort to your impertinence was deleted I rather think yours should be too. Fair is fair you know. You started it after all.

I have never been to San Francisco. I heard it is a most peculiar place.
