I saw him perform at a Magic Circle Gala in 1975 (still have the ticket) and his performance of the Nemo Rising Cards was superb. Very sad to hear of his passing.

I got to know Roy and his wife Janet through Wayne Dobson. As noted he was a very clever thinker. I have his Goodliffe books and whilst they’re a bit dated, they are brimful of clever notions. Wayne used any number of them during his “Club Years”.
I hadn’t seen him for a while and the last few times time we had any contact was via phone.
A very decent fellow.
