of minor amusement: Last night I ran into a guy whom I hadn't seen in at least a decade. He is not a magician, but does pay for tickets to see magic shows. He told me he had thought about buying a ticket to see the 'Criss Angel show' that was coming to town. (He didn't because he felt the tickets way over priced.) He, of course, meant the Supernaturalists who, while scheduled to come to town, cancelled. The theater claimed it was because Krysten Lambert had to have an emergency surgery. (this was in October. Right when Criss hooked up with Murray's old magic girlfriend. Perhaps Krysten had to have the knife removed from her back, as rumors of her being replaced by the new love interest were circulating? But I digress.)

No, the amusing thing is that he went on to comment how he saw that show on TV just a few weeks ago.

He, of course, was confusing the completely original and ground breaking multi performer magic show the supernaturalists, for that completely different ground breaking multi performer magic show, the Illusionists, that is, according to people defending the late coming supernaturalists on these pages, completely unlike it in every way shape or form.

Except, of course, to your average ticket buyer who has only see the advertisements and hype. To them they appear identical. but hey. what do they know?

Not unlike the 1920s... Who plays in your town first, Selbit or Goldin?

seems to me that while there was a race to play the town first and make a name for yourself, they always attempted to differentiate themselves from their competitors rather than trying to confuse the paying public into thinking they were getting the same thing!!!

As I remember it, Jarrett said Goldin's version was an abortion. Old Guy wasn't to hold back. :)
