Subtitle: Malice in Wonderland
After having remained silent since 2001, Gregory Wilson finally opens up publicly to defend himself from allegations of intellectual theft. In this podcast, Greg talks about his work in the private sector as a professional pickpocket and mentalist. He also gives us the workings on a trick that has gotten him out of speeding tickets. We talk about stealing watches on stage and much more. But the second half of our chat took us into an area that he had bottled up for quite some time.
You can watch a video, see some photos, read the blog, listen to the podcast online and download the MP3 file at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwel ... ory-wilson As with all the previous podcasts, this is also available on iTunes, Stitcher, Tunein and FeedPress.

Re: 268: On the Record with Gregory Wilson
As a natural follow-up to this podcast, I spoke with Apollo Robbins and our chat will be released on December 31st at 9:00 a.m. CST. He suggested that I follow the trail and look for evidence to verify Greg's claims and seek proof from those whom he mentioned. So, I hope to hear from those whom Greg "outted" and let them present their evidence or at least tell their side of the story and their perception of the truth.
In particular, I hope to hear from and talk with: John Lovick, Jamy Ian Swiss, Bob Kohler, Brent Geris and Alex Rangel. If, however, they choose not to talk about it publicly, then the court of public opinion can draw their own conclusions from their silence. There were some additional names brought up by Apollo that I will need to hear from and include Rob Zabrecky, Cosmo Solano, Chris Smith and Ken Sands. I also know that there are others lined up who would like to tell their stories where they have interacted with Gregory. I'm sure that Greg can give me a string of people who will speak on his behalf as well.
My intent is not to be one who creates controversy and I don't want to be known as the Jerry Springer or Maury Povich of magic. I have no "dog in this fight". But just as the popular podcast series "Serial" followed the evidence and asked questions then let the listeners decide, I would like to also follow that logical string of evidence and let the facts lead to whatever conclusion can be drawn.
Wish me luck and follow the story. I'll hear you down the road.

I kind of would like to see the Maury version. "Yes, Jafar. Max Maven IS your son!"

Sounds like lots of potential for slander.

I listened to it. Very juicy indeed. And very amusing. You have to be a svengali pitchman to understand why I find it all so amusing.

Is that where the process server magically appears at your door, produces a lengthy set of documents, and says the magic words, "You've been served?"

Enjoyed the podcast.
Gregory Wilson is a very creative guy. And he comes across very well when giving his side of the story.
I am taking his side on this one. Unless others can produce strong evidence that points otherwise. Which I seriously doubt. But who knows? This is the first I have heard of this gossip.
Great job with the interview, Scott!

Ironically, someone has stolen Scott's Podcast and posted a chunk of it on youtube with photos of those being discussed:

I assume this is copyrighted material that Scott could have taken down if he wants...

Apollo Robbins has announced that he has agreed to respond to the podcast interview.
I sure hope that perhaps this podcast will serve as an impetus for all parties concerned to work out their differences once and for all.
