Question about the 2016 Tiny Plunger

This is going to sound a bit crazy. But is the handle of the plunger for the 2016 Tiny Plunger going to be wood or plastic?

I've had the same tiny plunger for the 25 years - it's had 3 new plungers and 2 new handles but it's as good as new...

"As part of the “World’s Greatest Magic” line, Tenyo is releasing their version of a contemporary trick that many professionals are using. Spectator is shown a deck of cards and a tiny plunger. Spectator is asked to name any number. The plunger is then pressed on top of the deck. When lifted, a number of cards get picked up with it. The number of cards lifted match the chosen number.
Further, Spectator selects a card and returns it anywhere in the deck and then shuffles the cards. Magician then asks spectator to think of the card. Magician places tiny plunger on spectator’s forehead to “extract their thoughts”. Magician then takes the plunger off spectator’s forehead and places it on top of the shuffled deck. When lifted, a number of cards come off with the plunger with the chosen card remaining on top of the deck!"

I guess the original poster's question about a wooden or plastic handle is in reference to the fact that Tenyo is known for it's use of plastic. I suppose they could have made plastic handles, thereby differentiating their Tiny Plunger from the original Armstrong/Bich/Thomas Tiny Plunger.

But why go through the effort.

Tenyo collectors will purchase this item, regardless of what the handle is made of, regardless of whether or not they already own the original Armstrong/Bich/Thomas Tiny Plunger, and regardless of the availability of THESE for 20 cents each.

There was a very good reason why Mr. Hurley wanted to know if the handle was wood or plastic. He works in hospitals and must disinfect his magic apparatus. Plastic is much easier to disinfect than wood.

That is true, I do want to perform it in a hospital. I am under a heavy impression that the audience can make the plunger work. The issue then becomesif the Tenyo plunger is gimmicked, and if so, can the handle be sanitized. If it's not gimmicked, I'll have to see if I can acquire a bunch of them and pass them out as hand-aways at the hospital if the handle is wood.

Thank you for the info! And that is a bit of a downer, I was hoping it was plastic that was made to look like wood.

Plunger handle is wood as Steve has noted.

It is not gimmicked.

This is an example of Tenyo marketing product that will be of great interest to their main customer base of laymen in Japan. The only thing that will be attractive about this to magicians is the price.

Tenyo collectors will buy it just because it's Tenyo.

Hmm. Non gimmicked plunger. I'll have to get creative with the plunger situation and see if the cheapie plungers are a go.

From the way it looks, You could have someone work the plunger and have the magic work in their hands.

If that's doable, then I'm onboard with all the new Tenyo except Future Puzzle--only because I can't think of a way to use it yet
