Re: What Magic Item did You Get for the Holidays?
I picked up some items from the Ring sale (local) that my wife then gave to me:
1) Marc De Souza's Chain Gang - I learned a lot from Pop Haydn's DVDs, and figured there'd be some variation here
2) Spring loaded fox - I couldn't resist, even tho it isn't really magic -)
3) 2nd copy of favorite book "Fantasia Mathematica"
which includes the Bruce Elliott story "The Last Magician", who plans to escape from a Klein bottle...

I got Steve Valentine's excellent "Cloth" triple DVD set. I'm only about halfway through it and I can't believe how much material he has already covered.
Classic Correspondence From Egyptian Hall Vol. 2 was a pre-Christmas gift to myself, and after reading a few reviews I ordered The Vernon Companion today. Lots of good reading in my future.

Re: What Magic Item did You Get for the Holidays?
A digital subscription to Genii and the Skinner tapes.
I was a little concerned about how interesting & accessible the "tapes" would be, but I just finished the first CD and it is REALLY good.
Thanks Richard and the whole Genii team for continuing to produce such high quality and affordable magic resources!

Re: What Magic Item did You Get for the Holidays?
December was a good month and these were under the Christmas tree - from myself
The Vernon Companion
McCombical (a good book - however it really made me sad to learn that a much larger compilation + biography was abandoned due to the publication of this book)
Alan Shaxon - The Sophisticated Sorcerer + Confabulation (the trick)

The Vernon Companion arrived this morning, so I think I can class that now.
I also bought a bunch of downloads for myself, since there were a lot of sales going on.
