On June 19th Maurice S. Newman, representing Jonathan Pendragon, petitioned the court to have Jonathan's record amended. The court was presented reports from the Probation department, doctors, Jonathan's spouse, West McDonough, and others that showed his effort to make a new life and become a valuable member of society. The Judge agreed and in fact remarked that she wished others could work as hard to change their life.
The felony was knocked down to a misdemeanor and the misdemeanor was dismissed. Jonathan agreed to forfeit the right to own a gun and to disclose all information to federal, state and local law enforcement when requested, beyond that it is tabula rosa, a clean slate.
