Does anyone have the original instructions to Dick Zimmerman's "Slippery Rocks" effect they could share with me?

Short answer...no.

I didn't know there was a Slippery Rocks "trick". Zimmerman performed this for me years ago and told me it was in the Ganson book.

It was a minor miracle in his hands.

I have recently discussed this effect with a number of very knowledgeable magicians, and none of them have heard of this trick.

How did you know about it?

I first learned about this effect from a fellow who worked the counter at Barry's Magic shop about 10 years ago when it was still located in Wheaton, Md. He could not demo the effect in its entirety because he did not have the correct paddle. Instead he whipped out one of the Jumping Gems paddles and improvised a routine that according to him approximated Slippery Rocks. He placed his forefinger over the ruby and slid it down the stick to the opposite end like a portable hole effect. That was memorable.

Slippery Rocks was not available at the shop, and currently nowhere to be found, so I made a mental note to obtain a paddle some time in the future. On that other site, I recently learned that you can have a paddle custom made. With the Ganson book, Slippery Rocks is now within reach. Dick Zimmerman is absolutely brilliant. I like him:

What a great act! Dick and Diana Zimmerman looked great, and the act built from the charming (and amazing) ring on rope to the gigantic linking hula hoops and Diana's appearance. The milk trick is also wonderful, and Diana makes it all look so innocent. Thank you for the YouTube link!
