VOTE FOR REGAL'S RAYMOND

Postby David Regal » February 15th, 2005, 7:06 pm

I was lucky enough to sell two freelance scripts to "Everybody Loves Raymond" during its run. Now, if you go to...

CBS Vote for favorite Raymond Episode

You can vote for my episode "The Canister" which was selected as one of fifteen classic episodes. Please do!

Thanks,

David

David: also one of my favorite episodes. You got my vote. Would you consider posting other shows and episodes you've written. The credits roll too fast, and I can never read the names. Congrats and good luck.

David,
You got my vote, now lets get everyone on this forum to vote you in as one of the top 5.
The show is always funny and never saw an episode that I did not like.
By the way I like the magic you create as well as your writing.

Never saw it, but I voted for you anyway. In return, how about getting me Patricia Heaton's phone number.

David your episode "The Cannister" was hysterical!
I voted for you and hope everyone else on this forum does too.

CONGRATS!

Now if I can only convince you to write a pilot for a Hispantic-American magican who fights crime at night... El MagicHombre. (Chris this is the Spanish version)

My friend in Florida thought he voted for you but he actually voted three times for the episode where Lucy and Ethel worked in the candy factory.

Congrats! But please tell me you also wrote the one where Robert dated the frog girl, or the one where Marie took a sculpture class.

David,

Of course I voted for the Canister. It was a very funny episode, and I hope you get it in that top five that get primetime airplay.

BTW, I also enjoyed your writing work for RUGRATS and ROCKET POWER.

David,
Long time, no see.
I just voted for the Cannister episode too.
I taped the original showing because I was pre-advised by Eric Decamps to watch.
I hope the recognition on this episodes gives you more sitcom work. But I think we all can forget that card manipulating nun from a few years back! :)

Don't worry David, you cannot lose. Instead of voting I have a secret underground plan to get all the magicians in the world to touch you with their magic wands and WALLA you win (applause)
In case we miss a couple of wands I voted too.

The only shows I watch on TV other are Monk and the Apprentis (I have the hots for Caroline, the rest I have no real use for) and anything involving building cars or motorcycles (because I don't know anything about mechanics and it facinates me). So nope, never seen Raymond, for that matter I've never seen Friends, NYPD Blue, CSI, ER, or anything else that seems to be popular. I did watch SNL in the 70's though!

I have never been a fan of "Everybody...". Matter of fact, when it is on I just change the channel. I only remember watching one full episode. Funny thing is, it just happens to be the one you wrote. I knew there was a reason I didn't change the channel that day. You got my vote.

To answer the question a couple of posts above, I also wrote an episode where Ray has a bit of an identity crisis called "Who Am I?" As for the voting, it's over and I'd like to thank everyone for their support. I don't know if I'll place in the top five or not (they are counting down the top five, one a week) but regardless, thanks. You made me feel good!

So you won't know until your episode kicks on? That is kinda cool. I guess with every episode not being yours then number one is still a chance, and that would look killer on a resume.

Congrats David... That is indeed one of the funniest episodes, however the other episode you meniton where I believe Ray joins Franks lodge is hilarious too. I'm a big fan of the show and am really unhappy to see it go. Keeping my fingers crossed that "The Canister" shows up in the top three. :)

Continued Success,
Nick
