Anyone having serious problems with the weather?

Postby Dynamike » January 21st, 2014, 8:05 pm

The heavy snow and the cold weather did slow me down this year. How about you?

It did drop into the seventies during the day the other day. That is something that usually only happens at night.

It's 8 degrees in Washington DC right now. I'd explain what parts of my body are frozen, but you don't really want to hear about it.

The only way the cold weather (-7 yesterday) affects me magicwise is that I develop these very painful breaks in the skin of my fingertips when it gets cold. I've tried all of the various skin lotions, cotton gloves at night, etc., with not much luck.

For me, doing a classic pass in the winter is like juggling knives.

I just performed Tenyo's In The News and the vanished water magically reappeared as a block of ice. Cool, huh?

My Tenyo Money Splash is now a Tenyo Money Thump.

erdnasephile: have you tried Neutrogena's Norwegian Fisherman's handcream? I use it. Leaves a film on your hands, but should take care of your problem. I apply it at night.

Bag Balm is also worth trying. I found it at my local Walgreen's.

I live in North Dakota, so my perspective is a little different. It's going to be -20 degrees tonight. No big deal. When my daughter was little she would go to school when it was -22 degrees in the daytime (of course there was no outside recess). Last week, it took -60 degree temperatures before they finally closed schools, and that was because the buses were having trouble running in that cold of weather.

Zim's Crack Creme also works on broken skin. It absorbs into the skin without residue.

WalMart carries it
