Popped into my head yesterday.

Astrometaphysics
Using An Astrological Sign To Find A Selected Card
Bob Farmer, October 28, 2013

Control the card to the sixth position from the top. Ask the spectator for his sign. You then spell to the sixth card as follows:

Aries, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, 5 letters, spell, then turn over next card.

Taurus, Gemini, Pisces, 6 letters, spell, then turn over on last letter.

Leo (ruling planet sun), 6 letters, spell Leo, then sun, turn over on last letter.

Scorpio, is a water element and Pluto is ruling planet, so spell either “Water” or “Pluto” and turn over next card.

Capricorn, Aquarius, ruling planet is Saturn, so spell Saturn and turn over on last letter.

Sagittarius is the Archer, so spell “Archer” or Arrow,” and turn over on last letter or the next letter.

I was born under a bad sign and if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have no luck at all.

Bad Sign = Albert King.

Spell A-L-B-E-R-T and turn over the card that falls on T.

Or Albert King who was famous for playing a 59' Gibson Flying V.

Spell G-I-B-S-O-N. Turn over card that falls on N.

I like this trick!

Kicker:

After you spell to the card, spell to its three mates by Spelling Freddy King's, "Hideaway."

Hmmm....Perhaps a new trick all together. (Force?) First king (Elvis?) Then spell to the REAL KINGS (Freddy, Albert and BB). Just a thought. This trick wouldn't be as appealing with Yngwie Malmsteen.

And you could do it with Queens:

spell to:

ARETHA Franklin (Queen of Soul)
BESSIE Smith (Queen of Blues)
MADONNA (Queen of Pop)
FREDDIE Mercury (Queen)

Off topic, but this reminded me of one of my favorite songs - Bill Kirchen's version of Hot Rod Lincoln. As he is driving down the road, he passes various vehicles with different rock, blues and country musicians in them. Each time, he does a very good imitation of the guitar playing of the individual musician or guitar player in the band he mentions. He includes all four of these Kings, plus Ben E. and even Billie Jean plus many great guitar players. Check it out if you like electric guitar. There are a couple of different versions available. My favorite is the one from the Album - Hot Rod Lincoln Live.

Bill Kirchen a truly underrated sleight of hand artist! ;) Thanks for sharing. "Carol King" "Don King"! The album I heard it on is "King of Dieselbilly".
