iGenii question

Postby erdnasephile » February 6th, 2013, 11:40 am

Still having trouble seeing iGenii.

Question: are there any Flash Player security settings that should be enabled/disabled to use iGenii?

The default Flash Player security settings should work fine. The app doesn't require access to your camera or microphone though the app may use some local storage.

Let me know if you're still having problems after checking these settings.

Flash Player needs to store info locally to allow iGenii to work.

Dan: Thanks a bunch! That solved the problem nicely.

Just an FYI to some future searcher who is having problems with iGenii--you must allow Flash to store information locally on your computer for iGenii to work properly. (An easy way to get to these settings from the Ask Alexander site is to simply right click on the navigation arrows of iGenii and choose "general settings" from the drop down menu and make sure you allow Flash to store locally. The microphone, camera, etc. can be disabled and iGenii still runs fine.

Happy to report that iGenii works like a charm with Internet Explorer 10 as well!
