Magic Castle Library Howler

Postby Lisa Cousins » December 23rd, 2012, 4:20 pm

As a fan of classical magic, I've always enjoyed the image of the magician showing a piece of paper, rolling it up into a cone, and spilling something out of it.

When I came across a pamphlet in the Magic Castle Library entitled "50 Tricks With a Paper Cone" I couldn't resist having a look at it.

I came upon an interesting idea for a cut-and-restored necktie, where the magician "accidentally" cuts his tie into bits and places the pieces into a paper cone. "He peeps into the cone, but despondently shakes his head." The magician is encouraged to "Play up the harassed magician to the best of your ability, keep peeing into the cone, etc."

Clearly not a trick for a female magician. It involves a necktie.

Thank you Damian but I did not need that information.

On the other hand, I wonder what response you would get giving one as a Christmas gift to your female friends and relations?

Seems that if you follow these directions no matter what continent you call home, clearly one will think "European." And that would apply whether you lived near the ocean borders or further "in continent."

But I would have to admit that at least "yer in" good company.

(When I read the title of this thread I originally envisioned someone opening a book in the Castle Library and it started yelling at them a la a letter from Ron Weasley's mother.)
