Balloon Twisting 101

Call it balloon twisting, balloon sculpturing or balloon figure-making... if you ever wondered how to take a long latex balloon and twist it into a poodle then this is your lucky day!
Magic Inc's own Pedro Nieves will present a beginners' class targeted expressly for people who have NEVER twisted a balloon (but want to) or have had very minimal experience in the art of "Airigami."
This will be a 2.5 hour, hands-on workshop, and will cover:
-Types of balloons for the art
-Proper inflation, ties and balloon handling
-Basic twists: the building blocks of balloon twisting
-Basic sculptures
-Basic shaping techniques
-Proportion adjustment to create new sculptures
-Deconstruction procedures to replicate basic sculptures
-Other tricks of the trade and more!
After the workshop, each individual should know enough to be able to twist a few sculptures such as: dog, parrot, fish, sword, flower, teddy bear and several hats. In addition, every student attending the workshop will go home with the basic necessities for balloon twisting: a bag of balloons, hand pump, balloon clips and lecture notes. All this... just in time for the holidays to impress your family, friends and co-workers!
