The Genii Bash Bling Bag

Postby Dustin Stinett » September 12th, 2012, 8:15 pm

Last night the Chief Genii asked me if Id proofread his intro letter to the items that will be inside the goodie bag everyone attending will receive. I had to read through it several times because it was so amazing that I kept losing my concentration on the job I was supposed to be doing!

Folks, if this bag was advertised all by itself, you would pay the price of the room accommodationsif not the cost of the conventionto get it.

Most of the stuff in the bag is unique and not available anywhere but at the Bash. There are two items in particular thatif it were up to me (its not)I would be advertising because, frankly, I cannot put a price on them.

And thats just the goodie bag! Look at the lineup! (And I knowbut cannot saywho will be pinch hitting for Michael Weber and, well, wow!)

If you have not registered yet, click on the Bash Banner and do so! Dont miss out!

Will the letter reference Derek Lever, Hitler and a horse's ass?

Dustin said, "And I knowbut cannot saywho will be pinch hitting for Michael Weber and, well, wow!"
Do you mean for his lecture during the convention or the workshop on Sunday? The people signed up for the workshop have been notified. I can't imagine that anyone would not take advantage of the workshop replacement, but, if they opt out, there might be an unexpected opportunity for some to sign up for a great workshop on Sunday morning. I will miss Michael, but am very happy with the new workshop.

The person who will give the lecture in Michael's spot on Thursday, and perform in the Parlor Show, is not the same person doing the Seminar on Sunday morning.

When will the replacement be named? After hearing the sad news about Michael's health, some good news would be fitting. How about a hint, is it someone already scheduled to be at the Bash, or an entirely new name?

Well, since I think it's all settled, the performer/lecturer will be the great Chad Long.

Instead of Michael's workshop on Sunday morning, Roberto Giobbi will present his acclaimed seminar on Dai Vernon (and his 86 page book on Vernon, which normally sells for $30, will be included free of charge). The price for the seminar is the same as before: $99. The people who had signed up for Michael's workshop are being given the first option to switch over to Roberto's seminar. If we have any seats left, we'll let folks know.

I may have to block this thread from appearing on my screen, because every time I see it I get more and more sad that I cannot attend.

Just on a general note, are attendees required to bring anything along in order to register for 'the Bash' on the big day?

You don't need to bring a thing except some sort of photo identification (driver's license, passport, etc.). All of which everyone will have anyway.
We have everyone's registrations in a database file and also printed out.
No problem.
