Most Anticipated Event at the Genii Bash

Postby Tom Gilbert » August 5th, 2012, 1:11 pm

I haven't been to a magic convention in a long time, much less this caliber. Wondering what others are really looking forward to? With so many lecturers that I haven't seen, I may have to go with Uri Geller. Subject to change...

Since no events overlap (except the Parlor Show and Guy Hollingworth show and lecture, both of which are repeated), you will not have to choose between events. If you wish to see everything, you can, and you won't miss anything else.

Hopefully, if I can stay awake(!), I plan to watch everything. I don't think anyone is looking forward to the convention more than me. :)

Tom: I'd say the most anticipated event at the Genii Bash for me is it STARTING. So that first "early-bird" access on Wednesday is what I'm most looking forward to. For once that hits, I know I'm in for a magical thrill ride that is simply not going to let up until well after my return flight has landed and I find myself back in the real world. As Richard reiterates, here comes a magic experience where we'll be able to see everything - no sacrificing SuperStar A's session to see Superstar B's session. This is going to be a magic "convention" that is really done right. An advance tip of the top hat to Mr. Kaufman for really putting the "logic" in "logistics."

The open bar looks promising. The lectures don't seem all that bad either.

The bar is not free. :) Do I have it listed as an "open" bar or a "cash" bar?

Buy a bottle at an ABC liquor store on the way, you will save a fortune.

The cash bar is the most anticipated event.

I can't wait to see Uri Geller event and the Max maven lecture.

You're not coming: you're not allowed to make bad puns. :)

Anyone who is coming, feel free to make bad puns.

As for this: "Buy a bottle at an ABC liquor store on the way, you will save a fortune," anyone caught brown-bagging their booze will be immediately driven to the nearest AA meeting.

I see from another thread that Kent Gunn will be attending and I look forward to meeting him - maybe he will demonstrate the excellent Fun Shop Cups and Balls.

I wonder if he's bringing his brother Tommy....
