I have a plot of a reflective presentation about my formative years in magic where magic had a real practical use at school. Mum would give me lunch money but these bullys at school would always try and take it off me so I created this way of hidding it.....(leading into the bill to lemon).

The lemon is held in a lunchbox along with a few other lunch items which would give the said fruit some context. I would challenge the spectator after the vanish of the bill to find the bill in the lunchbox before I gave him the knife to open the lemon.

I tried this on Friday at a comedy club I am a regular performer at now, doing the Eason/Spill version.

I took the basic Eason presentation, and added some UK vernacular that made it very funny.

In the end, I came up with no 'reason' for the bill to be in the lemon. I thought, although I agree with myself that everything should have a reason, that maybe everyone is right and you just 'do it' because you can.

The set had a 'drunk test' theme. All the tricks would test how drunk people are. (3fly, homing card). Then I talked about how hard it is to see small things when you are drunk. Impossible to get keys in the front door lock, impossible to find a clitoris etc. So folded the note in half (everyone still see it?) then in half again (still see it?) then again, then it gets so small, you can't actually see it.

I really enjoyed your energy and the way you fully engaged the whole room. You did a great job pulling people in from the different areas of the room and getting everyone to participate in the fun. I know this is Doc's routine, but I think you really made it your own.

If I could make a suggestion for improvement, it would NOT be to move around less. I think moving helps you to keep engaged with your audience and makes them feel an intimate connection with you. My one small suggestion would be to move with more purpose. As much as possible, I think you should keep nailed to one spot, know where you going, move directly to your next location and don't talk while you are moving. When you get to your next spot you can start talking again.

That's my only small input. But my biggest feedback is to tell you that I genuinely enjoyed watching your performance and wish I could have been part of the live audience!
