May Genii in the mail on Friday April 11th!

Postby Richard Kaufman » April 12th, 2003, 8:43 am

The May issue of Genii was mailed on Friday April 11. We're a few days late this month because we lost our baby-sitter, and without someone to watch Emma it's difficult for the art director to lay out the magazine!
Look for Tony Giorgio's mug in your mailbox very soon in a 112-page issue that also contains a kick-ass three-coin routine from Duc Niehn that will have you very busy.
I'd like to hear about your delivery dates again since several people received the March and April issues late. Am eager to know if the the mail is once again returning to its normal speed.

Duc is an amazing magician. I met him the same time I met Richard at desert seminar 1999. I have been wondering when he was gonna have some material published. I still do the card trick with the knife and finger. Unreal. Thanks Richard.
I need to get a subscription I just got the april issue a few days ago. I saw I had a trick in there. I also thank you for thatto. What a treat for me.
cheers

Duc's card trick with the knife and finger, as well as Lee Asher's variation, will both appear in Genii later this year.

very exciting are you talking about lee's card finger thing. If so you are spoiling all of us with great stuff. I look forward to more of their material.

Now that the cat's out of the bag: I have been sitting on pins & needles waiting for this issue to come out. I was privileged to sit in on much of Richard's interview with Mr. Giorgio and this is one fascinating man. I think his life would make a wonderful book. Magician, actor, prizefighter, gambler and "professional contestant" (I never heard of one until that afternoon and I will not spoil it here in case you, dear reader, have not either) are some of the ways he made a buck. Meeting him and listening to his stories (on and off the record) were very special for me. Thanks again Richard and especially to Mr. Giorgio for allowing me to attend!

Richard, Got mine April 16th...But no sign of Duc's 3 coin routine you promised! Duc freaked everyone at FFFF with his card and knife routine a few years back. Almost sorry to hear it'll be published.

Wow, the May issued arrived in Boise, ID on Saturday, April 19. Must be some kind of new record. Speaking of the record, I have been unable to put this issue down. Would like to discuss some of the revelations from the featured article in the appropriate area. I could only put the May issue down to pick up the Aprl issue on "Shade." Time to renew my subscription! Thanks :D

While I don't want to be pegged a whiner, it's too late for that, SO...

I got mine days ago, but because of our fine-quality hippie mailperson (whose job probably prevents her from gallivanting around the country attending Grateful Dead conventions and seminars) left me with an issue that looked like it had soaked for days in her bong-water, I haven't been able to enjoy it.

I'm still waiting for the replacement issue.
