The October Issue of Genii says "BOO"!
The October issue of Genii should shortly begin reaching subscribers.
This month our cover story was written, designed, and laid out by Dan and Dave Buck, and includes eight sleights and tricks of their invention.
Additional features include an article about an existential play focusing on three dying magicians produced in Argentina, and reported by Alba, and a profile of the magical couple Sarlot and Eyed, who perform at their own venue in Arizona.
Columns include Jim Steinmeyer's "Conjuring" with a packs-small-plays-big piece of mentalism; "Aaron Fisher Teaches Card Magic," in which Aaron explains the subtleties of the Overhand Shuffle Control; David Britland's "Cardopolis" teaches a nifty packet Ambitious Card routine; Max Maven lends an ear to mentalism in "Lost Horizons"; John Gaughan reveals (literally) the inner workings of Jossefy's "Balsamo" the living skull in his "Chamber of Secrets"; and Jon Racherbaumer once again ponders the universe in "On the Slant."
I carry on a bit in "Genii Speaks," and Danny Orleans, David Britland, and Joe M. Turner review the latest tricks, books, and videos in "Light from the Lamp."
The digital edition of the October issue (FREE to all subscribers) contains six videos and two audio columns. The digital issue should go live tomorrow (for computer viewing) and live on Wednesday for iPad users.
I hope you enjoy it!

In Montreal, we're still waiting to learn the true identity of S.W. Erdnase. Is it Bob Farmer? Please tell me it's Bob Farmer.
