INDUSTRIAL REVELATION from Jamie D. Grant

Postby Jamie D. Grant » June 18th, 2011, 6:19 pm

Hiya Gang!

Image

I've been laid up at home the last few days, so this morning I thought I'd make a quick video to reveal something I've been working on since July 08, 2006: http://bit.ly/m4OjXS

I finally got the perfect result, made here locally, about a month ago- and I've been trying to perform it at least once a day ever since. It's been absolutely killing! But I knew that it would; I mainly wanted to make sure that my version would be able to stand the trials of daily use. I'm happy to say that's it has, no problem! I'm super happy with it.

That's all for now!

All my best,

jamie

Here's some more info...

A look at the hand-drawn instructions:

Drawn by the amazing and famous Sean Covernton.

What the box will look like:

Complete with a cool quarter-sized coin in case you don't have one around the house.

What's inside:

Who knew picking a paperclip would be so hard, lol. This was the most "industrial" in my mind. Attention to detail!

What the block looks like:

Years of work. No kidding.

Available for 1 week only (for now).

I'm a big fan of the original Matchbox Penetration (Cerillas Bloque) from Barcelona Spain. It is part of my professional close-up repertoire.

I would like to review I.R.for Genii Magazine's Trick Review Section. Any chance you can send me one for my next column??

It looks like Industrial Revelation has been reviewed in this month's Issue! Has anyone had a chance to read it? How I do?

As always, can't wait to pick it up!

Danny Orleans gave it a GREAT review. Plus there's a video about it in the digital Genii.

Hurrah!!!

I buy the printed version every month here in town, but I reckon I should probably watch this, lol. Am I able to order the one digital copy or do I need to get the yearly shebang? (I'm sure this has all been answered a million times somewhere, lol).

Reason: I took the hyphen out of "she-bang". Maybe it shoudld be sh-bang? I'll have to look that up...

If you subscribe, you can see the digital issues online.

Shebang is not sh-bang nor is it she-bang. It's the whole shebang.

Hiya!

Thanks for the kind words. I guess you can say the design was created by myself, and then I hired a cartoonist to draw it. I guess that's been my talent: I can't draw to save my life, but I can describe my vision very accurately.

My best,

jamie

Do you mind sharing who the cartoonist was? I'd love to use him/her for some stuff.

I took my Industrial Revelation home with me this christmas. Every time I went through the security check at the airport a TSA agent asked me to remove it from my luggage so they could inspect it. They said it looks strange when x-rayed.

They just wanted to know if it was worth stealing.
