The Goat vs. Mark Lewis on the Cafe

Postby Kent Gunn » June 6th, 2011, 6:40 pm

Quick before the Orwellian staff makes alterations to the time-space continuum.

I believe the Goat is currently ahead, 7 to 4.

It seems to have become a tag team, handicap match with Lewis/Bishop in one corner both against the Goat in the other.

I missed it, but I have a feeling it will continue here...

Well it is his room. And you could have had your own room, Ian, if you hadn't got scared away by Mother. Do come back some time. The offer still stands and I will make it Mark-free.

Anyway, you will be delighted to know that I did do a bit of editing on that thread. Mark went just a teeny bit too far.

Oh well, never a dull moment!

Best,
James

Not scared away. As I said at the start, too much Lewis to be worth bothering with.

And now Mark Lewis, the little weasel, has jumped into the thread on The Berglas Effects on the Magic Cafe.

But I'm a huge Avengers fan.

Mr. Munton would you make me the same offer as you did Mr. Kendall?

I am also a huge Avenger's fan and looking forward to the Captain America Movie.

Cheers!

I hope the Captain America film shows more promise than the Thor (an Avenger) movie. And for those who understand, Diana Rigg was smokin'!

I liked Thor. It sure was a hell of a lot better than Hulk. But those are not the Avengers we're talking about. And I don't think "Mother" appeared on the Avengers until after Diana Rigg left and Linda Thorsen took the part. But I'm not sure.

the M word ;) - what with M being a woman in the new James Bond films and Moriarty in the Alan Moore LXG stories as well as the codename for the manager in The Avengers.

I love how threads can take a sudden, unexpected turn.

I do love the Avengers and Diana Rigg was indeed yummy. Interestingly, Joanna Lumley of the New Avengers once babysat me when I was a kid.

But my sobriquet for Mark has nothing to do with the Avengers. I use it when he is especially grumpy and ornery.

I did a gig for Diana Rigg about ten years ago. She still had it.

I guess Mr. Munton has no interest in giving me the same deal as he is Mr. Kendall. And the practice of trolling and insulting of magicians like me who is not a member of his little magicians play pen will continue.

Perhaps I was right about the place.

Cheers!

Some folks ask for abuse. Some troll for stray goats. Some goats like to butt heads. Just part of the internet.

Glenn,

Because you don't know the details of James' offer to me it would be strange to pass comment on it. I'm willing to bet it has nothing at all to do with what you think.

The Bistro does not have a membership policy, so there's nothing at all to stop you from signing up. I very much doubt you were right about the place.

Glenn,

I am sorry, but I have no idea who you are. I don't just offer a room to anyone. And the fact that Ian has spurned me and turned down my most generous offer means I am now unlikely to give the room to anyone.

As for being insulted by other magicians, I give you my word that you will be quite safe and protected on the Bistro.

Best,
James

Spurned? No.

However, if Mark is good on his promise to leave if Damian stays, I might consider coming back :)

Ian,

Nobody is leaving the Bistro. I think I have just brokered an historic peace agreement between Mark and Goat.

Next, I will use my marriage counseling skills on Mark and Quentin!
