Wow! He was a Star! Great guy. The best line was when he was revealing the card to pocket he asked Ellen if she was familiar with "The Palm"...Well, she paused and said "Well, it's been awhile" Very funny.

Goldfinger and Dove involved in protest at James Galea's Ellen show performance?

Did they organise the protest?

That doesn't look like Jack Goldfinger to me.

Hi folks,

For clarity on the subject, the video of the protest was a joke. The two "protester's" are staff comedy writers who last year did a magic act that included a gamolo levitation and some cheesy choreography. It was part of a staff talent show put on expressly for Ellen. ( http://bit.ly/aBZWh5 )

The use of the name Gold Finger and Dove was more than likely chosen at random and is not meant to reflect badly on Jack Vaughn. In fact I suspect Warner Brothers and Ellen are not aware they exist. Warner Brothers has a huge law division who's job it is to investigate that a name being used fictitiously is copyright free. This clearance process is used on all episodes of all TV shows. The videos that show Ellen's G&D are not for broadcast and are merely for web based presentations so this precess may not apply. Might be a great opportunity for G&D to increase their retirement fund! ;-)

There is no controversy ... it was the staffs way of making Ellen laugh.

Cheers,

Shawn Farquhar

That sums it up pretty well.

While some can criticise - the choice of routine, the technique and the script... the complete package is a winner.

Oh, and glad he's decided to drop the naff Ed Hardy T he wore on his last big TV outing
