I've moved this to a general area so folks will have the opportunity to offer their condolences to Steve.

As you all should know, Steve is one of Genii magazine's finest feature writers, is the author of The Little Egypt Book of Numbers and Little Egypt Card Tricks, and he's a terrific and very creative performer.

On his site, Steve describes his late mother, Martha, as his "number one fan."

Those simple words, and a wonderful photo of her, are his touching memorial to her. See it Here.

Steve learned of his loss while he was at the WMS in Las Vegas. He was very stoic when he told me that he was going to have to leave early because of his Mom's passing, but I knew what he must have been feeling inside. My Mom is the same age as Steve's and while we all know that death is envitable, having to face it is still not easy. As Steve related to me, his Mom was in good health and her death was unexpected. I know it must have been a difficult trip home for him.

Becki and I send our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Steve and his family in their time of loss.
