I only recently acquired this delightful and clever effect.
For those unfamiliar, show a picture of a lemon. Then spell out with alphabet cards
LEMON The l and M are swopped, now spells
MELON Picture of lemon has now changed to that of a melon.
Brainteaser for readers: Can anyone come up with any variants?
Five letters as with lemon. 2 letters to be swopped, both words to make sense!

I'd love to see him present it as Max.

Thank you.
Its sad but true: lay people much more enjoy this type of effect than any hard practised sleight of hand ( with playing cards) routine. For me anyway.

A similar trick that I (and laymen) love is "miruku to kurumi" "Milk and Walnut" by Shigeo Futagawa. Here's Ponta the Smith performing it:

There's an English version "Top Drop" here:

Both are produced by Onosaka-san at Magicland.
p.s. I tried that anagram site before and my full name came out as "ill hardened weeny".

Wonder how a jumbo version may work?
This effect involves a count, a glide and a double turnover.
Hopefully not an Elmsley count..........
We shall wait and see what Max has got in mind.
Nice anagram

Melon and Lemon work so well because both are fruits.

It can play as funny if you turn letters over in the process and might even work to have one card change openly. Not sure if doing the ghoti=fish bit would add though.
