Hi,
I will ship to the united states. eBay won't let me change the listing without ending and re listing. I don't think that's fair to the people who have already bid.
The magazines arnt available to search from eBay.com. Only the eBay.co.uk site. So please feel free to bid from the US by clicking on the link above.

I know how difficult it is for any Americans to aqquire these magazines!!
Happy bidding
cheers
Richie

Your bids have gone up to 999 which is ridiculous with five days to go. Check that the bidders are genuine, have been on ebay for a reasonable time and have a high positive feedback.

Hi quentin
hope you are well
I've had some correspondance with the bidder and seems to be all above board.
Thanks for your concern.
Cheers
Richie.
Hope to see you at south Tyneside again.

Um, I don't know much about Ebay, but looking at the bidding history it seems that "Bidder 2" is biding against himself, repeatedly, in very large increments.

If you're in conversation with him/her might be worth asking why they did that!

It's because he's placed a proxy bid. This means that the bidder has bid his maximum and Ebay now automatically bid for him by proxy. Anyone placing a bid less than his maximum is automatically beaten by him. As his is the winning bid each time, you only see his results. This will only change once someone places a bid higher than his max.

Thanks for clarifying that for mr goat, Peter.
I'm sure this auction will create quite a bit of interest!
Maybe even from JS himself!

Ah! Good job I put my caveat about ignorance on ebay then!

Thanks for clarifying

Still... from what I understand, also with a proxy bid you should see the underbidder (as Bidder 4, 5 or 6 or whatever...). Unless eBay has changed something recently in their software, I remember seeing the lower bid...

Good luck to all involved!

Nope. The current bidder put in a proxy of over 1000 pounds. When someone bid 200, it was automatically beaten by the proxy and their higher bid is shown. Proxy bidding is either the best or worst thing on eBay, depending on your point of view.

The other is fixed end times. If you had a floating finish, say in a 30 minute window, you would end sniping and get actual bidding at the final stages.

Take care, Ian

Could anyone have possibly predicted that The Crimp would have such a strangely high value?

I know that Jerry has been complaining on his website that there is a pdf of all of his issues of The Crimp floating around the torrent sites.

I have not been able to find it, but I'm sure that if it becomes more accessible the curiosity for these back issues will fall.

He even commented that a complete reprint is in the works, but that was many years ago and still nothing.

As a result of the blatant slander from accessing his magician's only site, I figured you are not a big fan of his.

I think I should clarify why I am selling these magazines.
After being a supporter of Jerry for a long time, including removing from sale a video which I purchased from him, because he didn't want it falling into the wrong hands! Jerry will no longer sell me new issues of the crimp because it means I will then have a complete set!
The material in the early crimps is absolutely outstanding but I don't think jerry will ever bring himself to publish a reprint which would be available to the masses!!

Wow! What a way to treat a loyal and long time customer.

I would have scanned those and posted them on a torrent just to piss him off. Actually, you speak so highly of this material that I suspect you may already be keeping a copy for yourself

It leaves a bitter taste to say the least but I have high moral standards and don't agree with the copying of anyones material. Luckily I'm blessed with a good memory and the effects which I use are locked in my mind.
Who knows where the magazines will end up though.

Couldn't ever imagine Richard or Stan denying a customer the opportunity to have a complete set of their respective magazines!

I've been toying with disposing of my Crimps for a while, but never got round to it. I've got a few more than Richie, but after volume 3 there is a gap.

Jerry mentioned a book form when Jamie Badman sold his complete set - the last time a large number went in one go. It was mentioned at the time that he probably wouldn't get permission from all the contributers, but that's just conjecture.

I would agree that the material in the early volumes was excellent.

Take care, Ian

And neither Stan nor Richard would likely post a photo of their schwantz on their websites, but Mr. Sadowitz did on his.
