August issue of Genii Now in the Mail

Postby Richard Kaufman » July 12th, 2009, 8:38 pm

The August issue of Genii, featuring the first extensive article on the life and career of Franz Harary, is now in the mail. In addition to the article on Franz, there is also a free DVD with many clips of Franz performing and he also teaches a few simple illusions.

Tom Stone continues his "Lodestones" column with a new installment teaching an exciting new handling of Ramsay's "Coins and Cylinder" in which he brings together elements described in his previous columns, plus we have a full "Magicana."
We also have stories ond the Davenport family of London and their series of books that will start appearing shortly, and magician Jason Michaels (who suffers from Tourette's and performs in spite of it).

Plus lots more!

For what it's worth, my copy of the July issue arrived today. I had just started to wonder where it got waylaid.

I look forward to them whenever the post office manages to get them here.

Has a date being set for the 'Bob Farmer Magicana Special'? Hopefully, it will be soon!

Keep up the great work...

Joe

Yes, yes, when is the Bob Farmer Magicana coming out? I understand there are some fabulous tricks in there, quite possibly some of the best tricks of the initial half of the 21st century. I heard that Acer is hoarding them all to himself and translating them into French so no one can read them.

I actually took out a magnifying glass and looked closely at every single image that's used in the composition of the cover. Some interesting stuff there!

One doesn't rush a Bob Farmer Magicana. One chooses every word carefully, nursing it along day by day, month by month, year by year, or until Bob Farmer calls and offers one some cash to speed things up a little.

Our regular mail copy came yesterday. Service seems pretty good this month so far. I'll be eager to hear from my subscribers in the UK when they receive it. (Their copies were actually mailed out a few days later because they had to be trucked en mass to the east coast before going in the post, but if they all arrive in a reasonable amount of time it will be well worth it!)

Hi Richard,

Just to let you know my copy under the plain envelope scheme arrived here in the UK this morning, I think as it is only the first day of August that counts as reasonable :) Look forward to watching the DVD and reading Dustins feature on Franz Harary.

Cheers.
