Steve, I've been trying to access the llpub site this morning without any luck. By any chance is the server down, or perhaps a recent DNS change that hasn't propagated yet?

Nevermind..must be a DNS issue @ my ISP. I changed DNS servers and can access the site now. Thanks!

I can't get it to open, either. Tried with both IE and Firefox.

There hasn't been any server issues that I'm aware of. I've been on the site for a while this afternoon making updates and just a few moments ago to make sure it was up and running - even cleared my cache - no problems.

Anyone know how many volumes are being produced? If I remember rightly there will be five in total, right?

I asked this question back in 2007 when volume 1 was made available and they said there will be 4 volumes.

Of course they only had 1 volume at the time, and may have decided to split it into 5 volumes instead of 4.

L&L confirmed for me today that there will be 5 volumes in the set. As long as the price per volume is constant at $200, that is an increase in the price of the entire set. Kind of explains why volume 1 was bigger than volume 2 & 3.

I'm pretty sure they projected 5 volumes when they released Volume 1. From the first page of the original discussion here on Genii:

And why is it going to cost you $1000 to buy a full set of five volumes containing all 14 Castle Notebooks?...

Looks like it was 5 all along. That's good to hear. I got the number 4 from them. I verified it by looking my old email. I asked because if I purchased volume 1, I wanted to know how many more volumes would be required to have the set (e.g. what would it cost to get the set).

Any idea why Bruce Cervon stopped keeping notes in 1971?

At some point he started keeping his "notes" on videotape rather than writing them down. There are many videotapes sitting in his home of his own material and I suspect those will eventually come out as well.

The index for all 5 volumes of the Castle Notebooks are available here as a searchable pdf, which ought to be useful.
http://www.brucecervon.com/Media/Index.pdf
There is an alphabetical index, one by categories, and one by creator(acknowledged to be imperfect).

It will also be printed in volume 5.

What an AWESOME resource. Even if it will be in the next one, this is very nice to make available . . . even to those of us that have the Notebooks!

Thank you!
