Re: Jim Steinmeyer
Hi Dodd,
The "Download MP3" link doesn't work for me (I get a "cannot connect with server" message). Is it MP (my problem) or YP (your problem)?
Thanks!
Dustin

Thanks for the Heads Up Dustin!
It was a server issue. The player was working fine and the iTunes link was ok.. but the direct MP3 link was acting up.
Fixed now. Enjoy!

So.. for those new to downloading podcasts, I thought I'd offer a follow-up. I had an email exchange and we discovered that the error was not on our end for this last problem and you can easily download and listen to the interviews discussed. I encourage anyone that has a question about podcasts and this whole new media thing to contact me directly as I'll happily help them in any way that I can even if it doesn'y have anything to do with my show.
Best
Dodd

Re: Jim Steinmeyer
Dodd, as somebody who has been a podcaster for the past four years (it actually took me out of magic for awhile), I want to say that you do a great job. I've been waiting for something like MNW, without knowing that I was waiting for it.

Re: Jim Steinmeyer
Thanks Dave! I started doing a short magic news podcast in 2005 after being inspired by my friends Dawn & Drew and Leo Laporte, but as you know, the costs of sustaining such at that time were prohibitive. With the resources available today, I can now do the show that I really wanted to do. I'll definitely be checking out the Word Nerds.
Part two of our chat with Jim Steinmeyer is now online and ready for your listening pleasure. WOW! You guys really like this one.. more than 1200 downloads of Part One already! ENJOY!

Re: Jim Steinmeyer
Often, when a new podcast is added to iTunes, it isn't listed yet: you need to right click the topic (in this case, Magic Week in Review - The Magic Newswire), and then select Update Podcast. This I just did and succeeded in downloading JIM STEINMEYER II.

Re: Jim Steinmeyer
Coolio.
Re: Jim Steinmeyer
i listened to it this morning and it was very enjoyable.
jim's perspective as a craftsman is very unique.
his ability guide you to the flipside of magic
is captivating. that is what i noticed from past
phone conversations and emails with him.
i also was pleased when he mentioned John Shirley
and Bob Higa. Two great friends of ours (amongst
others). Especially John...
Jim has a great respect for that golden age of
magicians in Chicago and those who inspired him.
Can't wait to listen to part two.
