Let's hope the UK exchange rate recovers...

The UK exchange rate has returned to somewhere near its normal number. "Recovers" is not the word Americans would use.

At least there is still an economy to work with. For a while I thought we were heading back to the barter system.

I'm going to start hunting and gathering.

I hope this book is not a limited edition. I have to wait until the New Year!

I'm looking forward to the book, but jeez! $125 is a lot of money. 2x as much as the Vernon Revelation title? Ouch!
I hope this doesn't give Richard any ideas re: Mr. Jennings Takes Me to the Poorhouse!

Revelation was surprisingly low-priced for the production values. Also, a good deal of the material in it had been published before.
That is not the case at all with the Zarrow book--I'm sure 95% of it is in print for the first time. It will be well worth the money.

I know it seems like $125 is a lot of money, but you can't think of books in terms of DVDs or anything like that.

Books take years to write! A DVD takes ONE day to shoot.

People have to get paid for their work. DVDs are overpriced at $35. Books are under-priced at $100.

As for Mr. Jennings Takes It Easy, it will be larger than the Zarrow book. I don't know what the price will be yet. My goal is to price it under $100.

I do know that I will be buying a Zarrow book and will spend many days engrossed in it as soon as it hits my mailbox. C'mon--what a team: the motherload of Zarrow's unpublished material written by David Ben. It doesn't get better than that.

How much of Mr. Jennings takes it easy is unpublished material would you say?

Next thing you'll be telling us that we get a free DVD of Ramsay doing the Cylinder and Coins, with revised Farelli text...... oh, wait a minute.

The Chief Genii is killin'.

I actually put it in terms of what would it cost for me to take a lesson with someone. Given the quality of the Zarrow material and David Ben's writing, it will be a worth every penny.

I think at least 80% to 85% of the material is unpublished, and the rest is material described correctly for the first time.
Mr. Jennings Takes It Easy is not an enormous book of tricks ... it's hard to describe. It's a new kind of duck.

Based on the exerpts published in Genii, Swiss' review, and the reputations of Zarrow, Ben, and Yedid, I'm anticipating that the book will be well worth the admittedly steep investment.

Hopefully, it will be a huge success and demonstrate that publishing a large, important book in 2008 is still a fiscally feasible endeavor.

Viva la Books! :-)

Oh, I've already ordered it, and can't wait to read it. And I agree -- the benefits of a good book over even a great DVD are worth a lot. Just don't tell my wife what they really cost!

My prediction:
this is the "most sought after" book 2008.

Explore new secrets!
"For some six decades, Herb has kept the bulk of these secrets within a small, select circle. With this book, you can now join that circle."

- I dont have a real life, I just read magic books.
