Looks like you're going to pay about $22.00 to $25.00

The venerable LINKING PINS.

Performed and taught by Dan Garrett and Bob Sheets.

This video is so refreshing, here's two guys that get it!

They're linking and unlinking safety pins and trying to entertain while they do it, not trying to make us think this is going to change our religious beliefs.

Dan and Bob perform their similar routines with their own nuances and subtleties based on Dan's "PINDAMONIUM' routine from his 'CONNIVERY" set.

The extensive crediting was interesting and should serve as an example to others who are foisting their "creations" upon us.

This DVD was about 20 minutes in length, 15 of which were performance and instruction, Bob and Dan thoughtfully included a set of safety pins in the attention grabbing DVD case.

There is no annoying background "music". There is good solid camera work, set is well lit and both performers were having a good time.

Yet another single trick DVD for about 75% of the price of a "traditional" instructional magic video, the only difference here is the material is much better than most I've seen.

Is this Garrett's routine from his lecture notes using a "soft" safety pin?

I edited the review to reflect the origin of the routine more accurately.

Answer: Yup.

Good to know. For those who don't need a DVD, and want to check out Garrett's Pin-Demonium routine, the notes are a really great value.

They include the aforementioned Pin-Demonium and also material from Phil Goldstein and Michael Weber. Around $10 from various dealers out there.

Ah, but Dan's notes don't have the contribution from Mr. Sheets.

True, but the notes contain a plethora of other good stuff (not on the DVD and not just linking pins)for a paltry $10.00.

Contributions include David Williamson's Four Card Reiteration; Dan Garrett's Hand Sandwich; Phil Goldstein's Rackjobber; Michael Weber's Thinkerprint; Steranko's Lateral Palm; Dan's Flabbergasting Signed Card to Pocket; O.H.S. Card Change!; Charles Pecor's Fickle Fingers of Fong-Chur; and Dan's Pin-Demonium, a wonderful linking pin routine, complete with special pins! 20 pages packed with solid material.

I had no difficulty understanding it the first time I read it.

I saw Dan perform this years ago, and bought the notes. Great routine. Great notes.

What is this supposed to mean?

Seriously? It means they don't overhype it like it was the 2nd coming.

Do they tip Michael Weber's bit that lets you end with examinable pins? If not, then anyone interested in this routine should make sure to check out Life Savers.
