More Items Added to Martinka Auction

Postby martinka » May 15th, 2008, 12:56 am

We have just added some choice items to the current martinka.com auction.

We will be adding even another batch on Thursday. It will include a very nice first edition of Expert at the Card Table among other things.

As always, the auction can be found at: www.martinka.com/auction

Enjoy!

We have just added the final batch of items to the current Martinka auction.

Recent lots added include a first edition Erdnase, an incredible Henning costume, books, apparatus and more.

Just a few days to go...

Hell , Rennie Ted didn't need many books.

With what he hauled in on both ends with the 22 he did list he will likely be vacationing on the French Riviera eating Beluga by the the pound and washing it down with a case of 1787 Chateau Lafite drunk warm through a straw!

God bless him :)

Recession??...Never heard of it.

After seeing the prices on the 22 books, I tend to agree.

The results for the sale can currently be viewed on the site.

While we were pleased with the results, our consignors were the happiest. I am aware of past consignors using Martinka proceeds to buy carpeting, a pool and a car among other things. Someone may want to go for the Paris trip. I am too busy working on the June auction, speaking of which, let me know if you have any items that you would like to include :)

We are almost at full capacity, so the sooner the better.

Thank you to all that have particpated in our past auctions, it is greatly appreciated.

Hello Ted!
I feel really bad about that bounced check from the March sale.

I promise that I will make it good before my brother gets home.
Of course he is pulling a double nickel in the federal slam in Atlanta and just went in last January.

How about a good postdated check to square away my wins from last night?

If you will do that I'll buy that life-size stuffed Houdini figure at the 8.5K reserve and you can just put it on my tab with the rest of the stuff

Don't worry about it not being honored as my CDs from the Lincoln Savings and Loan says that I have nearly half a million on deposit with them and even more with Silverado S & L!

Don't be concerned about what that "Revolution" Trust Corporation said about their collectibility :D

I have my fingers crossed that my $600 federal incentive check arrives soon... Bank of America is threatening to repossess my my limited edition (Number 22 of 22,000) Adam's Finger Chopper that I bought from you in 2004

Doc,

You are a creative fellow!

We have actually held that check of yours and intend to sell it in a future auction, after all it carries your autograph :)

That's swell Ted!

I will send you another one just like it next week and then you can list both of them together as a "matched set."
