[size:11pt][color:#000000][size:11pt][size:14pt]The item number was 280213041450. The book was inscribed to Val Andrews by Tom Call. Does that make it more valuable?
If not, I've got the same book with a better dustjacket for $50.00!

Sal,
I heard that also, as I contacted the seller asking him, in so many words"are you nuts?" He said he was selling it for someone else, however he keeps relisting it and nothing happens. Book could be on there for years to come. Maybe by the year 2040 it will be worth that kind of money with inflation.

This seems to be the week for inflated eBay prices. Rudy Hunter's book, The Buddha & The Teddy Bear, is still available from the publisher for $25, yet it's listed on eBay with a starting price of $65. I have no problem at all with sellers getting whatever they can, but it's an interesting observation about the nature of magic buyers.

I didn't know Rudy's book was still in print based on recent prices.. I adjusted my listing to a more sane starting bid.... Thanks for the information.

In re. inflated eBay prices lookee here!
Actually it was a hell of a deal compared to the [color:#003300][color:#006600]$500 paid by one of the same crowd for the single Carl Owen volume. :D
Not only is old Jim wearing the book selling champ's belt but he has been the financial beneficiary of a feeding frenzy among a half dozen or so "hammer price be damned" buyers that together have created a protracted period of "price pull" inflation within the magic book economic microcosm.
However, if one is a seller, "a rising tide floats all boats."
