Magic Collector's Weekend

Postby Guest » February 17th, 2007, 11:58 am

HELP! :)

My wife said every $ I save is the only extra $ I can spend so......

Looking for a non-smoking roommate to split the room cost for the Magic Collector's Weekend on the nights of May 2-5.
I've already reserved a room with two double beds.

Also can split $20-$25 one-way cab fare from and to O'Hare Airport (up to 4 riders at this fare)
My flight to O'Hare on May 2 is arriving at 3:24 pm.
My flight from O'Hare on May 6 is leaving at 9:15 am.

Anyone interested please email me and help me to spend more $'s ;)

Thanks,

Dave

My Calendar of Events (on my site http://magicnook.com/calendar/calendar.htm ) lists the Magic Collector's event from May 3rd to May 5th. Is that correct? Maybe you're arriving a day early, but I just want to confirm my information about the event.

Spellbinder, your dates are correct, but many arrive a day early to attend a local magic flea market held at the same venue the night before, or otherwise enjoy the local sights...

And yes Spellbinder - I am arriving a day early
to attend the local Flea Market as Richard mentioned.

Thanks again,

According to the tentative schedule of events just received this week (with the fine February issue of MAGICOL) Max Maven will be in Chicago performing his acclaimed one man show, "Thinking in Person" on Wednesday night, another reason to go early (check www.magicchicagoshow.com for ticket availability). Max will also be giving a talk at the conference on Friday afternoon...

To anyone interested in attending the MCA Weekend, please note that the hotel's phone number as listed in the February issue of Magicol is incorrect.

Call (847) 605-1234 to make your reservation, or visit the hotel's web site here:

You can register for the event and to become a member of the MCA by downloading forms here:

What is the situation on the flea market prior to the event? I think this is run through Knights of Sleights? Does anybody have the specifics on when and where? I have been to this a few times and ALWAYS find something unexpected.

According to a flyer in the latest MAGICOL, the Flea Market is Wednesday, May 2, from 7 till 10 pm. General admission is $8 and it will be in the Mayoral Ballroom on the lowever level of the Hyatt Regency Woodfield, where the MCA weekend starts the next day. Anyone with $8 can go the the flea market, it is not an MCA event.

Thanks! I still have to sign up for the MCA weekend.

Max's show and the flea market are fall on the same day at the same time. Seeing as Max is giving a talk at the MCA, I think I will head out to the flea market and catch his show another time.

There are always a few gems to be found at the flea market and at a VERY good price! And for only $8 you cannot go wrong!

Sounds like it is going to be a fun weekend!
