Roger Klause
Congratulations to Roger Klause for the cover and fine article by Lance Pierce in the May issue of MAGIC. A great story on a great Magician!

Re: Roger Klause
I tried to resist renewing my subscription to MAGIC - but if they're going to start really competing with the really good magazines....

Re: Roger Klause
Lance's article on Roger Klause in the May issue of MAGIC caused me to read an entire article before reading Mike Close's reviews (usually the first thing I turn to ). Congratulations to Lance on writing such a fine piece on one Texas' real treasures. Roger's Midnight Madness Sessions have long been the highlight of the TAOM Conventions. Thanks again, Lance, and keep us all posted on the new book! You have my order as soon as it rolls off the presses! :D

Re: Roger Klause
It is a very good article. I was wondering if the coin disappearance that fooled Gary Kurtz is in Roger Klause: In Concert or published somewhere else. Perhaps Lance can give us the answer.

Dave and Rick,
Thank you so much, gentlemen for your very kind words. It's great to know that something you've done was worthwhile. I certainly appreciate you.
Tommy,
To my knowledge, the coin vanish isn't in print anywhere...

Re: Roger Klause
I was planning on sending Lance a private email saying how much I liked the article on Mr. Klause but since there seems to be a chorus growing let me add my voice here instead.
Lance, your writing is the single best reason to buy MAGIC magazine. I can skim the reviews at the magic shop but your prose deserves a good chair and a beverage to savor along with the fine words.
To those who are reading this thread... If you don't normally buy MAGIC magazine make an effort to find a copy. Klause is a legend and it's a treat to know there's a nice guy behind it.

Re: Roger Klause
Lance's article was almost "Genii-ish" in it's detail and not the usual fluff piece Magic is noted for.
Lance, will there be a part two with more stories of Roger Klause's encounters with other magicians?

Re: Roger Klause
Bill,
Wow. You're making me blush here, but thank you very much. I have to say, though, that it's easier to write something like Roger's article when you have such a good subject to begin with. Roger is more interesting than most people are aware, so our goal was to bring that out to some extent. As I hope many will now find out for themselves, we just barely scratched the surface.
Terry,
Not in the magazine, but Roger's next book will have some of that stuff. :)
Cheers,
Lance

Since you brought it up, when will the new book be out?
