MYSTERY PHOTO WITH OKITO & MULHOLLAND

Greetings fellow magic history lovers:

This photograph features a young John Mulholland and Okito, but who are the others in the photo?

My friend Bob Albo has asked me to help him identify these people. Any help would be appreciated.

Its pictures like these that make one wish the likes of Jay Marshall and Bob Lund were still with us. What a storehouse of knowledge those guys were! I miss them.

The felllow in the bow tie might be Leo Rullman. Wonder if one of the older ladies is Mulholland's mother, and another of the women Okito's wife?

if he recognize anyone.

i asked dad, and he couldn't recognize
anyone else except for john and theo.

at first we thought the lady next to
john was dorny's wife but closer look
it wasn't.

i thought it looked like thurston's wife.
i'm guess to, that the lady next to john
is his wife. no clue who the little girl is.
the man to the right and the woman above
must be married and that could be his or
her mom? that couple reminds me of Dr. Meuller.

I was looking at the Rountable drawing
at the same time.

I hope Bob finds his answer.

I'm quite certain that Dick Hatch is correct with his Leo Rullman ID. And, I think that's Mulholland's mother to his left.

I think so so too, Jim. You can't get two homlier people in the same photo unless they were related.

The other women look familiar. They remind me of the ones Mulholland and Hardeen seemed to be shacked up with in the mid-1930's Christmas card they sent out.

The woman to the right of Mulholland (as you look at the photo) has been positively identified as Mulholland's mother (thank you, EAD).

I can't argue with the Rullman ID, and Leo's connection with Mulholland is well known. But what's the connection among the three magi?

Probably a New York picture?
