Sankey Unleashed?

Postby Guest » July 24th, 2001, 1:30 pm

It's been rumoured that this book is nearing completion. Plus Sankey's web-site, beginning Sep.1st, will be magic-oriented again. Can this be a coincidence?

The Almighty Sankey sold every copy of his 75-dollar Collectors Edition Videos 1 AND 2. (They were worth every penny!)

I just want you to know Richard that we're ready and waiting anxiously. :D

I'm trying to find some time to read through the completed manuscript (written by Racherbaumer and edited by David Acer) and make sure everything jibes with the illustration by Earle Oakes. Then my wife will lay it out and it's off to the printer.
Does anyone have a few spare hours to sell me? I seem to have lost mine ...

Hey Richard,

Any release date set for this yet? If it's any later than August, I lose a fifty dollar bet I made with Jay.

(well, fifty Canadian... that's 73 cents American.)

No problem. Jay's busy right now anyway skimming through old Linking Ring magazines for Bob Farmer tricks he can market.

I can attest that readers will luxuriate in Sankey's Unleash-Ments...if and when they are "unleashed." As it stands, only Sankey, Acer, and I have the juicy privilege of playing with all pf these "toys" while the rest of you (noses pressed eagerly against the glass) must wait...

RK of course has no time to have any fun.
Besides, the entire onus is now on him...not Sankey, Acer, or me...

I'm delighted that the book is finally edging its way to daylight...

As Biro says...
Stay tuned.

Onward...

Richard: re, Jay Sankey's latest book. Jay has been marketing a TON of things lately, videos, effects, etc. I already have several of his lecture notes which have explanations for many of the effects he is marketing, plus a few of his "home made" videos from 5 or 6 years ago. Is the new book brand new unreleaased material, or a compendium of everything SINCE "Sankey Pankey" or what? I love the guy, and I don't begrudge him selling as much stuff as he can, but it's getting confusing. Can you sort things out?

The new book contains about 65% new material that has not been released in any lecture notes or put on any video.

There are very few magic books I look forward to anymore. And now there are two under our editor-in-chiefs tutelage: Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy and Sanky Unleashed.

I can only picture Richard sitting atop huge piles of manuscripts, hording his treasure like some fairy-world dragon. What riches are hidden in the stacks, patiently waiting their turn to see the light of day? What wisdom is buried in the gold, itching to become reality for those lucky enough to practice and perform?

I wait with breathless anticipation

Enough hyperbole. Mr. Kaufman, how is Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy coming along?
